Hes Just Not That into you received publicity for being a Sex and the City derivative (to be precise, its based on a single dialogue from Sex and the City) with a few central characters and their romantic (mis)adventures in Baltimore, all hooked up with each other but the combinations are wrong. Its a confusing situation, triggered further by one particular character for her ability to misinterpret signals repeatedly. Overall, it did receive acclaims from critics.

Heres what the movie is about: Gigi is a girl who is desperate for a man who would take the effort or make the effort to call her when he does tell her that he would. She sits next to her telephone waiting the whole day only to see that the gentleman the night before who promised he would call, is being the biggest jerk in the universe. And shes left wondering if its her own fault.

Beth on the other hand is in cross roads as to whether her many year relationship with boyfriend Neil has finally hit the rocks and is seriously contemplating bringing it to an end. Neil on the other hand decides to makes things more difficult by proving time and again that theres nothing really wrong in their relationship and that things are moving just fine! We also have Janine who is a bit on crazy-mode right now, because shes got a bad feeling about her hubbie Ben cheating on her. Well, it pretty much looks like even hubbie Ben wouldnt trust himself, especially when hes around Anna. Anna on the other hand (yes, my head is swirling too) is confused about whom to choose: the married guy, or her usual, plain old stand up guy Conor, who by the way, can not get over breaking up or leaving Anna. And the final arrow to the heart or whats left of it, theres Mary, who is just hoping that she can find one straight man who can love her the way she loves him after endless networking.
